They work on commission so they are just trying to replace things that don’t need to be replaced to make money off of people who don’t know better. They are not honest- that’s for sure! After a simple oil change, they forgot to put the under barrier back in my car, so on the highway, my skid plate fell down and scraped the road the whole way back to the shop. Negligent and very dangerous. If you go here, say no to everything they suggest unless you know for a fact that it has to be repaired. I’ve been going to Turbo Tim’s for a long time and I live far away it’s worth the drive as I’m often driving with precious cargo! They have worked on my older cars along with my newer car and they always take excellent care of all of them! I’m looking forward to the St.Paul location opening as that will be a bit closer for me! Also my son was super excited to see them crush the cars at their last event so they are his favorite as well!
Absolutely fantastic. Very clear and itemized estimate, kind and professional service. I used to work for the county’s vehicle repair program and the owner, Tim, was always honest and did his best to keep costs affordable for clients. A quality and upstanding guy. Now I am a customer and very satisfied from that end of the experience as well. Plus. The cats! They’re so cute! Would never take my car anywhere else 🙂
I have visited Turbo Tim’s in the past for repairs to my car. I live in NE Minneapolis, so it is very convenient to bring my car there. Their prices are very fair, and they always complete repairs to my car in a timely manner.
Additionally, they go to great lengths to make sure the client knows what is wrong with the car/why it is an issue/steps necessary to make the repair. They do this online with a link that lists all vehicle diagnostics. The diagnostics website provides a nice user experience, with a color coded system that denotes the status of disrepair to your vehicle.
Long story short, they are a great repair shop to work with, I will be going to them for car repairs in the future, and recommending them to all my friends who live in NE Minneapolis!
Mechanics are intimidating for me as an LGBTQ+ person who is perceived as a woman. I trust turbo Tim’s to be fair, respectful and thorough in the work they do!

This is my second time at Turbo Tim’s, though several years apart. I appreciated the efficiency with which the entire process was handled, right from appointment booking to finally getting the vehicle delivery. It was all smooth and easy. most importantly, it was great value for money.
I had several questions which Nate, at the front desk was able to handle. They’re also upfront about not having a waiting room area, but they quickly book a Lyft for you to get back. Which effectively takes care of the issue.
The report I received was detailed and comprehensive. I will be going back.
