a month agoSuch a helpful and friendly group of employees! I was on the struggle bus with a passport renewal and they went so far above and beyond helping me get the photos and paperwork together. They were patient, kind, and pleasant the whole time. I’ll make this my regular UPS store from now on!4 months agoFANTASTIC experience here every time I’ve used them. They are very kind in person, very responsive over email, very fair pricing. As a teacher and coach I need to go there regularly to get supplies and they always make it such an easy process. Also very knowledgeable.3 months agoWent in on 5/3/23 around 530 pm. I was trying to ship a package out on behalf of my wife’s restaurant. The two women working there were so rude and unprofessional, I was shocked. Before I was even helped one of the ladies was screaming saying she was going to quit for some reason. The whole store could hear…so embarrassing. She then stormed over to me to help me and completely ignored what I was trying to do and rudely attempted to take down my personal info after I said I needed it shipped on behalf of my wife’s restaurant. She became really aggressive and angry when I asked why she couldn’t take their info down instead of mine. After a few back and forth exchanges, and me expressing none of this made sense, she finally said it was against company policy and that she should’ve taken my ID and filled it out my information that way but was choosing not to. Not only was she going against company policy, but she should’ve just said that from the start and saved everyone time and headache… Horrible customer service. I’ve used this location for years and it’s never been good. Do yourself a favor and ship from home/with someone else.4 months agoJennifer was outstanding! She carefully prepared and wrapped my framed artwork for shipment. UPS is fortunate to have people like Jennifer representing the company every day. (Unfortunately, the shipment arrived damaged) ?. I wish there were people like Jennifer who took more pride and care in the job.4 months agoI can say that it is the fastest and systematic ups I have ever seen. I’ve been leaving my ups boxes here for about a few months and they are always helpful. The only reason I’m leaving 4 stars is because the women employees were rude today and before. They’re trying to be fast, I can understand that but they interrupt me when I ask something or they are rude (perhaps unknowingly) to be quick.

2 months agoI wanted to return an Amazon return. they have huge signs that they do amazon returns.I had the item packaged but the return label was on my phone, the guy refused to scan from my phone and said that it would take $2.5 for them to print the label!!!
I went to Fedex print on 5th street and printed the label for 20 cents.
There is another UPS store near Scripps near University Ave. Their manager is a nice old man, He not only scanned my phone for label but I also didn’t had to package my return, he packaged it himself. I will be going to there from now on for everything.
a year agoWe attended Comic con and purchased several collectibles that we wanted to ship securely home. We came to the store a day after the convention, Jennifer took excellent care of us and our items. She found the perfect size box and gently added the items to get a rough measurement and make sure there was room for plenty of padding materials in between. We received our shipment home sooner than we expected (paid for ground) packaged extremely well with all items secure and well protected. Highly recommend and would definitely use them again when we’re in the area.4 months agoAbsolutely terrible customer service. The manager lady was not welcoming. She made me feel like I was disrupting her and bothering her from doing her job.There was a nice guy who was also working. He looked at me and apologized. He said that she is the manager and what she said is what she said.
Really felt like I was a burden asking her to help me solve a challenge I had getting a shipment out that ups never picked up
9 months agoI have been coming to this location for 3 years and they have exceeded in customer service. I met a new employee named “Maria”, this person is possibly the rudest employee I have encountered in a service industry. I walked in the store at 6.10 and she was very annoyed since she was closing up and kept asked if I needed print confirmation. She was very very rude and dismissive in scanning my packages. One of my prepaid packages had no taping she yelled at me and said she will charge $3 next time. If the store manager sees the review please make a note of this employee. This person is possibly one of the worst employees to have in your staff and she is rude and dismissive to customers. I was beyond shocked to respond.7 months agoCame in to do my fingerprints for my background check but they informed me that they don’t do that in that location. They should update the website so customers don’t waste their time when given an appointment in that location. The reason I’m giving them a 1 star is because as I was waiting for them to give me the address of another UPS that I could go to, they helped like 5 other people that got there after me. I had to wait for them while holding my 1 year old that was being super fussy. They could definitely improve on their costumer service.

I have to rave about Ciera at my local UPS store on Garnet in Pacific Beach, CA. I’m a full-time artist and constantly need help with packaging & shipping out my art pieces, which are really heavy, delicate, and oddly shaped sometimes. Ciera always makes an effort to assist me, and ease my anxiety when it comes to handling my bigger pieces. I’ve shipped my artwork all around the country these past two years & never have I ever had a client complain about the piece arriving any less than perfect. Ciera always takes the extra time to explain every packaging and shipment process to me, and assures me I’m getting the best price possible. As a small business, this extra attention to detail means the world to me. I’m really grateful for this UPS location, all the employees are always so nice. But I have to say, Ciera goes above and beyond for me and my business. They are super lucky to have her.
I shipped 2 items, one of the items was sent right to my house the next day and there was no label on it. ( The store clerk forgot to put it on ).
So I went in a few days later and they said that they cant help me because the label was “Processed” already. They proceeded to tell me to reach out and get a new QR code for another label. I said that could take days and I would hope since the error was on them they could resolve it here. They said there is nothing that they can do.
Horrible customer service, we make a mistake and then the customer has to deal with making it right.
This store is really on top of it. Everyone is nice and helpful, never had an issue here other than PARKING. (Not their fault) However this whole parking lot was designed for European cars not for American SUVs and minivans. It sucks, park on the edge of the lot and walk because otherwise you’ll be stuck trying to get out with five other oversized vehicles trying to get in and out of spots.
My husband and I came in Friday morning to have several documents notarized. We had a great experience with this store. The gentlemen who helped us was friendly and helpful. He took his time and made sure everything was complete. I would certainly recommend this store to anyone who needs to get something notarized!
These people are the absolute best. I’ve never experienced such customer service from a shipping company before. So helpful and so personable. I just called to have them forward our mail and they were once again -so helpful! I’ll miss that level of service -truly. Also, big shout out to Ciara and I believe, Jose! They are truly leaders -as is the rest of the team, really.
