1. I have shopped at Target for literal decades and have never once felt compelled to leave a review one way or another. Today was different: out shopping with my three kids, I was in line and distracted while placing things on the belt and the lamp I was purchasing broke. Target folks were kind and calm, cleaned up the mess quickly, found another lamp in the back, and never once made me feel like the frazzled mess of a human I was at that moment. In the lane next to mine, a mom spilled her Starbucks and they replaced it for her while they quickly cleaned the floor. Then on the radio they all thanked each other for the effort. I always enjoy Target but this was above and beyond.

2. Target has really gone downhill in customer service lately. I’ve noticed the employees have been rude and snappy and have completely abandoned smiling, friendly greetings and polite small talk. They’re more likely to point and bark orders like “go to that line” or “you need to back up”. My last visit I was trying to squeeze past an employee stocking shelves and I said excuse me I don’t think I can fit through and she said “in that case you need to go another way” , I needed the product on the other side of her. I was shocked as she proceeded to yell at me full volume as I explained how rude that is when she could have simply moved half an inch!

3. I wish i could select less than 1 star. I order store pick up. Some items, like bread, and items with an obvious broken seal, have been tampered with. I call the store and they say to bring it in to exchange, like it’s not an issue. I don’t drive, Family member picks up my son to pick up the order and shouldn’t be expected to make an extra trip to exchange items. I end up having to order those same items at a different store they are shopping at. Target doesn’t allow you to add to your online order, once submitted. I had to make 2 separate orders at the same time and received notification that both orders were ready for pickup, however, hours later, when my son tries to pick up both orders, he gets snapped at that he has both orders, when all they gave him was the one order, this has happened multiple times. I make sure to add his name as the pickup person, so there is no issue, and he has ID. i called the store and requested to speak with a manager and was told she wouldn’t come to the phone, i needed to call back and speak with a manager in the morning. I’m done shopping at Target. Walmart’s prices appear to be cheaper with a larger selection, and just a couple blocks down the road. Fareway has amazing customer service for order pick up, not to mention really good sales. Aldi’s prices are probably the lowest of all the stores around and is across from Fareway. Amazon Prime also offers lower prices on some of the items i used to buy at Target, and the shipping is free. With so much excellent competition, I would think Target would try to improve. Some family and friends plan to get me a grocery store gift card for Christmas, so i made sure to let them know i’m no longer shopping at Target.

4. Very clean and well organized. Good selection of products. Very polite and friendly associates in manager. Atmosphere is so positive because it’s nicely lit and feels clean. I like the fact that they have a little cafeteria and also a Starbucks cafeteria where one can stop for a drink or a bite to eat

5. Target always has the best stuff. From food, to clothes, to home goods. Great low prices and a clean and organized store layout. Love the order pickup- it’s fast and you don’t need to reserve a time. Love the target app and the target wallet. Love love love!
