My boyfriend had badly sprained or fractured his leg and they have sent us to a gp even though he can’t walk on his own and is in a lot of pain. his leg is swollen. he can’t step on it. there was not a single soul in the waiting room. we were alone and they denied us care even though we are insured.

people behind the counter lacked any kind of empathy.

The worst urgent care! I’m so disappointed as a non dutch speaking foreigner living in Rotterdam. Firstly, the staff can speak English fluently but they won’t bother and especially one specific lady working at the front desk. The front desk at urgent care is extremely important since it’s the first contact point for the patient in urgent need. I’ve encountered this lady two out of two times I went to the urgent care (both for traffic accidents) and she was more than rude. I explained to her what happened and asked if there is any doctor who could check me out since my knee got blue and tripled in size. Without any further questions she told me that I’ll need to pay around 350€ for RTG and that my European health insurance isn’t valid there. I got my knee checked after 6 hours and after the lady switched shifts without a single cent to pay. Then I went there with my roommate and the same situation happened. Super angry and disappointed having to deal with the pain plus the rude staff.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Horrible service, inefficient system. Every time I have a medical emergency I first consider whether I can handle it myself because I hate coming to this place

Great facilities but terrible human resources. The nurse and the doctor who check me were not polite at all. They were all time mocking and laugh about myself!!! Very uncomfortable and sad being checked this kind of people!!!! Monsters!!! I don’t want to believe the way they cared was because I’m a foreign and don’t speak Dutch.

Yesterday I came to visit my mother and I find it antisocial how doctors treat patients. Someone who was there with his arm had to wait an excessively long time, and a doctor simply says this to the patient, WELL THEN GET OFF!!!!! By the way, I am not satisfied either, doctor Hofman operated on my hand there in 2013, but problems have become worse.

I finally felt taken seriously. There were good doctors present and very sweet and kind nurses. They treated my son very well. Satisfying!

They should be ashamed of themselves. Sent home with painkillers and eventually went to another hospital after 3 days. What turned out to be a severely inflamed gallbladder pressing against the liver. Had emergency surgery at the Sint Franciscus Gasthuis. Maasstad should be deeply ashamed.

I called the emergency room in the morning and got a grumpy woman on the phone. My own doctor did not answer because consultation hours were closed in the afternoon. I explain to the lady that I have had pain in my chest with certain efforts recently. The lady immediately started to act ugly, why are you calling me? Don’t call your own doctor, they have to answer. I say they don’t answer. That’s not possible etc etc don’t call us. Very nice if you have stitches on your chest. Thank you for the assistance!
