Review for mid of May 2023: I’ve been a guest of the ER room several times in my last 10 years. I’ve found the place from fully crowded to quite empty, always medical staff treated me with respect and quite good treatments.

Everyone needs to understand people are people, thus could be behaving not at their best however their main goal is to save your life or improve your well-being. They are doing a triage, meaning you’ll be treated based on status assigned at registering from really urgent ones (immediate action) up to consultation which can make you wait for a couple of hours before being seen by a doctor.

Mid of Sunday night, I was seen by an ER doctor after 15-20mins from Check-in. In 25 minutes after checking in, I was having medication supplied via an Intravenous line, blood was already collected and sent to analysis. Dedicated doctor was requested from the hospital and was doing a consultation in 40-50 minutes from admission. In roughly 2 hours I was stepping out on my own feet, walking towards home.

I’ve seen a lot of trainee medics (young people), ER room has been renovated, more beds than 2 years ago. New medical equipment, digitalized processes are in place. Led lights, curtain separators between emergency beds (like in the US movies), 10% of the staff was still wearing medical masks (😷👍). Cleanliness as it should be, spotless. Overall a very good impression.

Hopefully I don’t need to come back. Parking is a problem in the area, if you come with your own car!

If you managed to read until here: -do like the review 👍 -consider donating blood (not in this place, search for “Centrul de Transfuzie”) you could save lives, there is a constant blood deficit in #Romania.

My husband and I were extremely well looked after by the team on Friday morning (05/01). We caught a virus and from reception to the doctors and nurses were very kind to us. We are immensely grateful to the professionals at Brasov hospital for all their attention! Thank you from Brasil 🙏

If you are an gispy or an alcoholic you are more likely to get taken care of at the emergency entrance , if you don’t make a scene nobody cares about you ….you wait for hours and hours…unfortunately this situation is going on for a lot of years now. Even though the site has been renovated and now it look as a normal hospital the staff needs a big mentally change

The reception staff at the ground floor is extremely unprofessional and rude. They are very slow, all the time big queue of people, many of them arguing with them. Either they don’t know how to answer the questions either are offering wrong information, including speaking very badly about their call center colleagues. If you try to discuss anything with them they are becoming agressive. I am a client for several years in Regina Maria and went in Bucharest and other cities but Brasov – Iuliu Maniu is the only one where I always had problems with the reception staff. Although they have so many bad reviews about this it seems that nobody cares. Customer care is something that nobody knows in Regina Maria Brasov-Iuliu Maniu.

As a long time client of RM (back when it was called CMU) in Bucharest, the Brasov branch is below minimum requirements. Absolutely below. I’ve tried several doctors for different issues, but its like talking to walls. Doctors just want to get you out the door as soon as possible for the highest pay and least effort for them. They dont listen to the patient and even when they do, they do it half ear and jump to stupid conclusions because they dont look to clarify, because they just want to get though consultations fast to maximise profits. The hospital checkin line is always long and tedious, and god forbid you use the selfcheckin option, because doctors change locations without putting it in the system. Also god forbid you tell a doctor that there is no need to print out the recommendation because its literally in the system / app as you will see a real life 404 error on their faces. I had high expectations from the Brasov branch, but its the biggest dissapointment. Avoid at all costs. Or rather said, pay the cost next door, they are better.

Review for mid July 2022 for a Sunday, while trying to use monthly subscription called “expert ultra junior” for emergency consult.

While requesting an Otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat (ENT) consult (Romanian: ORL), staff reported that they have “on call” only a pediatrician who could take a look but an additional fee is to be charged (400 RON). According to contract these are both wrong info (ORL/ENT medical staff should be available and no extra fee should be charged for that specific subscription). Staff was interested in investigating more into the matter.

Sour taste for this visit 🙁

Other times service was professional, scheduled times were followed.

I called to Regina maria and the girl in the other line was speaking Romanian which is normal because this is Romania country but not all the client in Regina maria is not Romanian its also for international people living here in Romania like me and I am speaking English since she didn’t speak English she drop the phone and she didn’t say anything even to transfer me on her colleague who’s speaking English. I understand Romanian language even she told me in Romanian language that she will transfer me. I think Regina maria should hired people that also know how to speak English specially they are answering the phone on behalf of Regina maria. It’s unprofessional.

Warning to all expats and others who want to engage with Regina Maria. Although they seem nice, they do not provide a real value. Governmental institutions might not look as fancy, but their service is the same good, if not better. The abonnements are rather expensive (better save some money per month), and when it comes to the real deal, you have to pay anyway. The worst part: don’t trust their customer service! When I wanted to cancel my abonnement because of a family matter, they understood and guaranteed on the phone that I don’t have to worry, all is good, and the abonnement can be considered as cancelled. Just to learn 3 months later that they handed my case (and the case of my wife, btw) over to a debt collection agency. And ever since they are chasing me for hundreds of Euro for a period of time where I thought I am already not insured anymore. This is, in my opinion, misleading information, absolute neglect of customer care, and money stealing.
