a month agoI lived at this apartment complex for a year and had a great experience, anytime I needed something fixed the building manager was on top of it, he was very attentive and made sure i was satisfied in my apartment. When I had a more serious issue with my heating/cooling system the building manager and owner were quick to compensate me and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommended living here. The property is very clean, the neighbors were kind and the apartments are beautiful and spacious. You couldn’t ask for a better location either, especially as a student.2 months agoMy son lived at this apartment complex for 3 years as a student at Westfield University. His freshman year he stayed on campus, but then Covid hit and we felt it would be better for him to be off campus. This building is well maintained and overseen by the Superintendent Jeff. The building was always clean and orderly each time we visited. This building is a close drive to campus (5 min) and right next to the Westfield Police Station. As a parent, I was happy that the building was in a secured location and convenient to many things. We had our monthly payments all done online which was very convenient. I took care of the Wi-Fi and electricity bills in my name and the boys just evenly split the 2 monthly bills. Great size kitchens with a lot of cabinet space. Overall, it was a good experience and set up for my son. I would HIGHLY recommend these apartments, especially if you are looking for a place off campus as a WSU student.2 months agoNice building, never had any issues with noise, reasonably priced laundry on site, even has a nicely stocked vending machine for those days when you need a Red Bull in a pinch, management was great and quick to solve any problems, and being right downtown puts so much within walking distance.2 years agoMy daughter and two roommates lived in Courthouse Square and had a great experience. The apartment was large with three bedrooms and two baths. It was very clean when they moved in. They never had a problem with heat or any other building services and the laundry room is very big and never experienced a wait. The building manager, Jeff was especially kind, considerate and caring. He looked after the girls and even helped my daughter with her car twice. It is an especially safe place to live because it is kept up in good condition, Jeff is always around and it is next door to the police station. I would recommend it as a place to live. Great owners and manager make the difference.2 years agoSuch a wonderful experience! Lived here for a year with two friends, and would have stayed much longer If applicable! The Management and owners were so helpful, and nice. You can tell they truly cared about their tenants! Complex is always kept clean and up to date, and the apartments are beautiful! 4 years agoSo I’ve read many reviews and have come across a few negative reviews about Edgewood, some of these were totally false and inaccurate. I’ve seen reviews stating Edgewood is a racist community. False! This is one of the more diverse communities I’ve seen. I’ve seen reviews about them refusing someone because that didn’t allow their “emotional support animal.” I feel this statement was inaccurate. Edgewood is pet friendly but they do have restrictions on their dog policies. Our neighbor has a service dog. The Office manager is friendly and the maintenance staff is always prompt when something needs addressing. I just renewed my lease for a third year and I am happy to call this place my home. I’ve also seen some negative reviews about kids playing and being noisy…. their kids. Kids play outside when the weather is nice, it’s good to see kids being kids, having fun and using their imagination. Edgewood even has a fenced playground for the little ones. It’s a great community with friendly neighbors. Many are quiet and keep to themselves but you will hear no complaints from me. The odd complaint about the landscaping contractor or snow removal is something ever complex deals with but the Edgewood Staff is not to be blamed for this, they handle the situation and inform tenants about scheduled and unscheduled changes to the best of their knowledge. The fault lays with the contractors, not the staff. The property and grounds are clean and well kept. Furthermore, Edgewood is very accommodating as they just made a unit wheelchair accessible with a ramp and handicap parking. I can say with certainty I will be staying here and renewing my lease for many years to come.3 years agoEdgewood is very clean, always has flowers planted. Manager is so sweet! I have lived many places in my adult life but few places have i truly considered my home. The Willows has given me that. It’s close by to some lovely cafes, as well as some pretty hiking trails. But far more important than that is the staff. The maintenance people are amicable and Brooke at the office is an absolute treasure. Not only is she friendly, but also incredibly helpful.
I absolutely LOVE it here. Brooke is the property manager, and she is hands down the best and most personable manager. The main reason we even considered willows was just from our phone conversation alone and how well she communicated with us. The property is so well maintained and for being older apartments they have updated them to look so modern and perfect for a place to call your own! I highly recommend it here! My first and last apartment destination for sure!
If you are looking for a pet friendly community The Willows is a great choice! They have an awesome dog park with obstacle courses. Sage and Juan are friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. Service requests are quickly taken care of and they do a great job keeping the property clean
Sage was super professional, informative, and helpful on our tour. We ended up choosing somewhere else to stay. She followed up with us before she rented the unit to anyone else which was very considerate.
Non-Smokers BEWARE
0 stars. I can honestly say this was the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in.
The first thing you need to know (which they won’t tell you) is that this is a SMOKING community. Hard to believe that in 2022 this still exists but tennants can smoke freely indoors.
At no point was it made known to us that The Willows is a smoking community.
The moment I opened the door i was hit in the face (nose) by an overwhelming smell of smoke.
I did my best to try to make the apartment as liveable as possible. But the smell of years of heavy chain smoking had permeated every surface and when I moved in it was unfit for human living.
I spent over $200 on carpet cleaners and cleaning solutions for the walls and despite my best efforts and more than 5 days of near constant wall scrubbing the smell was still unbearable.
I would spray the walls and watch in HORROR as a disgusting black ooze dripped down the walls.
I complained many many times to management but was never reimbursed for my troubles.
Eventually I found out that the previous tenant had smoked several packs a day and used the carpet as her own personal ash tray.
Only after I asked for a reduced rent did management finally agree to repaint the walls with an incense paint, but it was no where near enough. We came back home and the smell was still there. It was in the ceilings, the vents, the air conditioner. The window blinds all smelled absolutely disgusting, and we were sitting in a 90 degree apartment because everytime we turn on the AC it just blows a smokey smell throughout the apartment. Everytime we open we the door to the apartment we were hit in the face by the smell. And when I first moved into the bedroom it could only be described as uninhabitable.
Every piece of clothing we owned smelled like it just came out of a cigar bar.
Everything I wrote here is copy pasted from my email to management. We hated coming home and spent nearly every weekend away.
I cannot stress enough. Avoid this apartment complex and all aspen square properties like the plague. The model they show you smells nothing like what you’ll actually receive.
I genuinely feel like the few months I lived here took years off my life.
I only hope that our immense suffering can save someone else from making a terrible mistake
