  1. There are so many stores to visit in the mall as well as things to experience. One of the highlights is to ride these animal “car” things around. You can purchase a time slot this the animals by the kids play area close to the food court. There are several seating areas between stores where you can wait while others shop, and if you have your charger with you, they have areas where you can charge your phone while you wait. Lots of vending machines and kiosks to shop at as well if you enjoy those. We did go into the restrooms and, while they did have various types of paper on the floor, I can’t fully blame the cleaning crew at the mall for that because people who use those restrooms also have an obligation to be responsible for themselves as well. We went during a week day so things were slow for us but the mall will usually be very busy over the weekend and evenings.

  2. Empire is good Mall last time we visited was not busy then got busier a little bit. But other outside businesses were very busy in area of Sioux Falls South Dakota

  3. Nice mall. Stores I went in were all clean and pretty well updated. The mall had a nice layout and seemed pretty easy to see all the stores in an adequate amount of time.

  4. The mall is nice, but the security guards are ill-informed and ignorant about their own policies. The code of conduct clearly states photography is not allowed for commercial purposes, but is allowed for recreational purposes. A friend of mine and I were taking personal pictures with our new cameras, and the security guard immediately came and had some harsh words for us. Please educate your security guards on people’s rights and your own policy.

  5. Other malls seem to struggle allot. This one doesn’t seem to have that issue. There are allot of stores, allot of people. Nice food court, there is a play area if you have small kids. There is allot of variety for shoes, clothes, trinkets, etc. I’d recommend going during the week because the weekends seems to be bustling.

You can find so much stuff here – Target, Sam’s, clothing, food, crafts. It’s busy – especially on weekends! And during Christmas? Oof. Only one road going in and out. If you structure your visit to only turn right, you’ll life will be so much easier. ??

Great variety of shopping options. You can find something for everyone. Clothing, specialty, jewelery, food/restaurants, department stores, health shops, pet supplies, big box store, you name it, you can find it here. Always our go to for shopping in Rapid City!

This outdoor shopping center has surpassed the towns mall by leaps and bounds. The only thing is wish were better is the driving. Due to it’s popularity traffic in this area is very high and many people tend to do far under the posted speed limit causing back ups.

Not many people stop for pedestrians, and they don’t really wait their turn at the stop signs. A jeep waited for my 4 year old daughter and I, to cross infront of Scheels, but decides to plow through while we are halfway through the crosswalk… while it’s a great set up, be careful of careless drivers.

A pleasent shopping area that we have enjoyed visiting. It has multiple options for clothing stores and for eating establishments. It also has gas stations, large retail stores, and fast food surrounding it. There is always convenient parking close by. The access roads can be a little confusing bu traffic is usually not bad.

Rushmore Mall is a good mall with a variety of stores, food options and video arcade. Every employee I came across was nice. They offer mall strollers for kids, plenty of benches to rest and nice murals / decorations. Great place to take kids to and shop around.

Lots of fun stores! The food court is pretty good. They have things like Chinese, sandwiches, pizza, Dairy Queen, and many other places. There is also and arcade and other fun things. They have thing like Claire’s and icing as well. They have stores like famous foot wear too. They have clothes shops like Bohme, American eagle, forever 21, Maurice’s, ex. There is also stores that sell home decor such as The Home store. They have a very good variety. They also have the classic seasonal spirit Halloween store during the fall season. Over all it is a very good place to shop. Five emojis that describe it are ????⭐️ We will definetly be back

What is with all the CBD/tattoo stores? I can see they are trying to improve the appeal of the mall to the younger crowd, but the store selections are poor and the bathrooms off the food court are filthy and run down. Gas station bathrooms are nicer! A fireplace and leather furniture do not make up for general cleanliness. Remembered why I shop elsewhere…

More renovations coming, Rushmore Mall has never been a great mall, time will tell if the transfer of ownership helps. Food options come and go, almost as often as new retail stores. I enjoy being able to walk around, the Trader’s Market helped with that and promoting local interactions, sometimes you find cool stuff.

Not a lot left for good shopping here compared to 20 years ago when the mall was packed with a variety of really great stores. Food court is still pretty good with several options. Mostly niche stores and public event areas in the vacant shops. Definitely not what it used to be.
