5 Replies to Get Your Game On: Ultimate Guide to Joliet IL’s Best Arcades

  1. I love this place but the pandemic has really hit it hard. Half of the games are turned off. My favorite game, the multi prize crane grab was one of them. The food here is surprisingly good and they will even call your name so you can keep playing while it’s cooking. My family has been going to this establishment for several years now. My children are teenagers and in college now and we still like going here. I can see it is struggling and that makes me sad. I really hope it pulls through.

  2. This place is great. I want one where I live. It’s classic family fun. My friend who took us, says not much has changed in 20+ yrs but it’s all well kept and a ton of fun. Def want to go back. Food is good simple pizza joint fare.

  3. I have been coming to Haunted Trails since I was a young child myself. It makes me happy to be able to bring my kid there now as well. We love the spooky theme, all the game choices, and the many prizes to choose from. I don’t like that tokens are now 3 for a $1, but like everything else inflation happens. I’d rather this place raise their prices a little to stay open then close forever. My biggest complaint are the workers. They are a bunch of teens who really don’t care that this is a family place, so even if you’re not happy, try to be for the kids – they are the reason you guys are in buisness.

  4. What a great place to explore for summer fun, I do not recommend in the rain. I say this because my trip was postponed by myself due to rain. I got to tell you the mini golf, baseball cage, games, food etc was fun. Love that everything is on a card to pay.I enjoy the fact you have in door fun and out side fun too. Word to wise..watch that step when exiting. Large step from out to down. I’m sure it will be looked at or fixed.

  5. Let me start off with a Big Thank You to Rosendo he’s the Manager, if it wasn’t for him this place would of gotten a one star!!! We came here for my nephew’s birthday party and my niece. They have a room for birthday parties which is nice but other parties are in the same room as you it’s not bad, you get in there eat pizza and cake and send the kids off! If you’re looking to wear your kids out and have a good time I would definitely recommend coming here!!!!
If you really think about it prices aren’t bad at all and the birthday packages are pretty good! I’d rather have a birthday party here then Chucky Cheese. The games are pretty cool Adults can have fun as well!!!!! Laser tag was one of my favorite things to do. They have so much to do here my kids couldn’t tell me they were bored!!!
But now let’s start with the fact that this place is ran by a lot of kids so if you have any issues I would recommend just to speak with the Manager save the confusion or whatever the issue is, it’s not worth arguing with the staff they’re young which isn’t a bad thing, it might be good for the kids that come here they might feel comfortable having younger kids running the games and counter’s. The pizza wasn’t the greatest but people don’t come for the food they come or the fun!

3 star since we all exited the building with kids without anyone checking on us , Chuck e Cheese used to have this hand stamp system for kids safety I am disappointed that they got rid of it. Other than this it is better if you guys place at least a few hand sanitizer stations between game machines. We ordered stuffed crust cheese pizza it was delicious. Machines were all working and we went there Monday night, I love that it wasn’t busy at all so we get to play whatever we want without waiting . Kids had so much fun . Game prices and the pizza cost was fair but I wonder why drink cups are overpriced.

Please be aware Chuck E Cheese isn’t what it used to be. There aren’t any packaged deals for tokens and pizza. You load points or time on a card for a ridiculous amount. The entertainment is poor and Chuck E looks like he needs a nap. The live shows where they pop out the wall is gone, no ball pit and once the kids play the little amount of games they are ready to go. I am not sure who is in charge of management but this place needs serious help. It is kids working and no one ever came to the counter to cash my daughter out we left got tired of waiting. We were only here for a birthday party and they were not pleased and haven’t been here themselves for quite sometime and this was a one and done. I will say they cared more about mopping then providing service so kudos for cleanliness. The food was hot and flavorful that was the only highlight of the night. My daughter under 6 was ready after 20 to 30 minutes.

This trip was for a kids birthday party and they did great. With tons of people the service was outstanding. Staff engaged all 4 parties at once. They could of used a microphone but other than that the kids and adults had a great time.

I grew up going to Chuck E Cheese (80’s baby). My kids are 5 & 8, and for some unknown reason, I had never thought to bring them here. That changed last week. The pizza is NOT the pizza I remember. It’s actually edible and not cardboard. Granted, it’s not GOOD pizza, but it’s not horrible. It is a bit pricy, but we went right after school and it was not super busy, so we didn’t have to wait in line for games. The girls had a blast. We will definitely be coming back.

We go to Sky Zone very often because it is close to home, and kids like to jump there. They have an annual pass, which is great for the money. But it might be offered during January only. It’s not a really clean area, also it looks like it would be time for some renovations but this is not a big deal for us, as long as it is safe. There is a good climbing wall, and trampolines are great for jumping. Adults can jump, too. There is a little area for small children. However, there are a few safety concerns for me. For example, one of them is that there are a couple of places on the trampoline area where there are gaps between the trampolines covered by a mat. The gaps are big enough for a child to fit and fall under the trampolines. Overall, we like that we have this place close to home but it is important to watch children all the time, especially the smaller ones, for safety reasons.

New owners for this location and I think they are doing great! We just had my son’s Birthday party here and they did a great job. The person who helped us was super attentive and made sure that we were topped off on drinks! Also they have a glow zone that starts much earlier and on Thursday which is great, previously they started way too late for my son (who was 6) to attend. Docking a star, Glow Zone isn’t covered by our season and costs an additional $24 to jump.

This place is boss. My kids love it and your not too fat to jump!!! This was the best workout.

Sky zone is fun for the kids but needs a new process for tickets. We waited 45 minutes in line for the glo jump on the weekend. I wouldn’t be so aggravated if I didn’t already purchase tickets and still had to wait in line for 45 minutes. What is the point of buying online if my kids still missed half of the jump time? $100 for an hour….if I didn’t already buy tickets I would have left.

We went for a birthday party last weekend. The kids loved it and did not want to leave. For me, it was pure chaos. I could not keep an eye on both children at the same time. The 4yo wanted to be in one area while the 7yo was in another. It raised my anxiety. The place is pricy, so I’m glad it was only one kid I had to pay for.
