  1. I would recommend outside weekends and holidays.
Classic IKEA, many variations, beautiful furniture, good Swedish meatballs.
General information: AFAIK IKEA has four stores in the Czech Republic. Store in Prague in Zličín (1996), in Brno (1998), in Ostrava (2001) and the last one in Prague’s Černý Most in 2004.

  2. I would like the same that they promote ideas for the home that in the bus that transports visitors from Cerny Most to the store, they also had good ideas and cleaned it from time to time… inside the store many things that I was looking for I did not find. I’ll be waiting for them to bring it back…

  3. A large Ikea, takes about 2-3 hours of your time if you’ll walk and check stuff. Nice large selection. It can get quite crowded however – especially during the weekends.

Restaurant-wise, weaker. As usual, their coffee is bitter – overroasted, and the food selection is not too great. The veggie balls were overly soft and mushy, and the sauce going with them watery.

  4. My favorite store. It’s also nice that they have a great website. You can come to the store, view all the goods that you are interested in, then place an order + delivery and + assembly of furniture if necessary. Everything is on time and of high quality. Meatballs are a special treat. It’s like a reward after.

My all time favrt store to visit. It gives me new ideas and i land up buying some utility stuff but past few months everything has become expensive, and also not really good designs or innovative products which are user friendly. You get much options now in other stores especially for furnishing, textile

As usual great place to visit. My first time in Czech Republic IKEA. Interesting that you do need to check some prices are cheaper here, I bought towels, about 35% cheaper for same product than Austria. Speakers are more expensive! Great restaurant, i love the meatballs and Logan jelly sauce. Easy parking and easy to visit.

I’ve been shopping In Ikea (UK and CZ) for over 30 years … always loved it, couldn’t understand people who said they got lost … I visited Brno Ikea yesterday, first time for a long while. I was very pleased to see the escalator at entrance but after that – big disappointment – the upstairs display area is so complicated now – so many twists and turns I ended up feeling dizzy by the end and was glad to get down to market place. Although that area is still being renovated and I couldn’t find most of what I wanted. I can only hope that when it’s finished it will be better. Meanwhile I left the shop pronto – bought only couple of things – and will buy the rest online. I won’t be rushing back to the store any time soon – I’ll check out Bratislava next time I’m over that way – maybe that one will be better..

Most of employees were friendly, but some of their employees needs a training on customer care. Namely, 15min before closing time I was going to pay and had to book a delivery at the info point, but one of the employees (Michal) decided it’s too short time for him to book this 15min before his shift ends, so I had to call his supervisor and when she arrived it suddenly became very doable. This caused me a little bit inconveniences, but in general the rest of their employees service was good.

Very nice. They have free wifi. And when you get hungry after walking around, buying stuff there’s canteen that offer cakes or any meal that you could want to try. And they have a nice toilet.

Considerably more expensive than IKEA stores in Western Europe and in Poland. It is unconscionable that items can cost up to 30 percent more here when labour and property costs are lower. Hopefully the Czech consumer will unite to stop these businesses overcharging us. Example of the cost difference: Hemnes shoe bench costs 2500 here but 1800 in Poland and the UK.

The rude Stan staff, at an IKEA we’ve all experienced. We spent some wonderful days in Prague and only met nice people, but this branch tops everything. I wanted to get a shopping trolley and I was there and it was snatched from my hand. I only understood the reason later because they wanted to fill up the shopping baskets. You can talk to me and do it in a nice way at the checkout I haven’t experienced this for a long time. The employees absolutely need training or maybe more money?

Update: I am still trying to make IKEA solve it. It is 28 days of my brain wasting by IKEA. After the reclamation is done (if it happens), I will describe all the unlogic and terrible communication by IKEA. They are doing everything so you give up on reclamation!! Never buy IKEA kitchen! ? ?Total unwillingness to solve problems with reclamation of kitchen from IKEA. The kitchen is only 2 years old (planned, measured, purchased and finally installed -all by IKEA), family 2 adults and 1 kid using it only 2 years. Half of the kitchen is unfunctional. Reclamation Department tells me it’s my fault because they do not know how I was opening the dishwasher. How you can open the dishwasher other way then it is possible to open!? ? Very smart question from a seller to a customer ? So just do not buy it! Quality is bad and service is bad, whatever price you pay there (our kitchen together with installation was around 180k czk). After 2 years: digester is not usable, washdisher door has lost it’s screws, the fridge needs to be professionally cleaned/repaired and even water battery is hanging on the top of the sink. This is your IKEA kitchen after 2 years of usage. I guess after 5 you can start to order new one.
