- Reviews:American Van Lines was by far the best moving company I’ve used. Upon contacting them, I was greeted an agent that was very helpful during the initial quoting process, and also not pushy to use them as a mover. Ivana kept me informed and updated as dates/times moved which was greatly appreciated. Jairo Caro was the driver who was very respectful, kind, and easy to communicate with. Jairo went above and beyond making sure my needs were taken care of. He used quality helpers both loading and unloading. I hope he can come back to Utah to pick up the rest of my furniture once my wife can get out of Utah permanently. I was also impressed with the car shipper (Montway Auto Transport) they used as well. They made my move much easier for sure!By Scott J (8 months ago)My realtor recommended Brian Maguire for American Ban Lines out of Pompano Beach. I called Brian and he came to our home and prepared a very detailed proposal for our move from SE Florida to NE Florida. Aside from a fair price for a major move, the estimate provided to me by Brian was spot on. The move took place exactly as I was told and it would be a four hour drive. So on the day of the move it took a crew of three, six hours to load up our two-story home of 21 years onto a truck, and another hour loading up more furniture from a storage unit I had on a second floor of a Life Storage unit also onto the truck. After this the crew brought the loaded truck to their warehouse to sit locked up inside overnight. The next morning they arrived at our new home in the early afternoon after a a five hour drive. And then another five plus hours of unloading, putting everything in place where told, a few items needed reassembling, a very well deserved tip for all and off they went. There were just a few minor damages (I expected way more damages.) and they told us of everyone of them, so we didn’t have to find them ourselves afterwards. They left our new home around sunset and had to travel five hours back home. Brian Maguire called me starting several days before the move and then again to let me know of each and every step during the move. He was extremely thorough and trustworthy. If we would move again (which we don’t plan on) I would hire them again no question about it.By Steve F (a year ago)AVL started out with a detailed and great quote but ended up giving terrible service and charging me 1 1/2 times more than their quote. They couldn’t tell me which day the moving truck would arrive until less than 24 hrs before it did arrive. Then they told me a date for delivery and then were 2 weeks off from the actual date. When they called on a Fri to tell me my stuff would arrive Sun they gave me 6 hrs to pre-pay the $10,000 (the balance of the new quote). I was not at home and didn’t have the access I needed to funds so had to stress and scramble for a company that hadn’t even bothered to give me a reasonable estimate of times and cost. I will NEVER use this company again and I’m urging friends who are moving to stay clear. Moving is stressful enough without dealing with a disorganized and overpriced moving company. Update 6 mos later, this is the Rest of the Story They: *Lost ALL the hardware for ALL my furniture so nothing could be put together on arrival. Took 3 mos before they agreed to pay a handyman. *Charged me over $200 to move a washer/dryer which they didn’t move. I couldn’t prove it wasn’t moved so I had to pay *They packed my piano standing on its end, warping the front panel *TWICE, the loading ramp dropped to the ground with a full hand truck of my boxes, spilling them from a height of 4ft. And beware, they pay $0.60/lb for damaged goods so no matter the value of the contents of those boxes, they reimburse by the pound. *To get reimbursed is so complicated it’s not worth doing at $0.60, which is I’m sure their aim *And finally, it’s VERY hard to contact this company. They have circular phone prompts – press 1 for a dept, press 1 again to speak to someone, takes you back to press 1 for a dept. Live phone answers are rarely available and if they are there’s a queue of 20-50 mins. It’s always some other dept’s responsibility. No one returns messages. Transfers are dropped and you have to start over in the queue. They say they’ll get back to you but don’t. When you get a live person who says they’ll take care of a problem it can be weeks until you hear back and then only if you call them (and wait in the queue). One positive: they delivered my stuff within their 3 wk delivery window. I would rent a UHAUL and move myself rather that ever use this company again. FURTHER UPDATE: Within a day of posting my UPDATE, a spokesman from AVL called me and after some back and forth we agreed on a settlement. I am now updating my 1 Star to a 3 Star review. There is apparently at least one dept at AVL that cares about the company’s reputation and I give them credit for that.By Jill Franzke (7 months ago)They called us multiple times to set up the pick up and delivery locations (NJ to SC), requested an inventory list of all items in the 4 rooms (42 items to include a huge entertainment center & 2 sectional sofas), paid 1/2 down, and they show up in a mini van the Sunday morning of the move and their offices are closed!!!! This company seems to be running a scam! I’m posting a photo of the tiny little van that showed up to pick up our furniture! What a joke, and very unprofessional!!! Then the driver has the nerve to tell us they had no idea the amount of furniture we were moving and a larger van is going to cost more money! Apparently their office didn’t share the complete itemized list we gave them!By Elaine Harris (4 months ago)I have moved many times throughout my life and this was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. American Van Lines is unreliable, and unprofessional. There were 3 delays in our pick up date. One day we were rescheduled for, they just didn’t show up, and the next day, when they did show up, it was late in the afternoon and it took late into the afternoon the following day to finish the job. When they arrived as they parked the van they ran into and damaged my neighbor’s front yard fountain. We had originally been scheduled for a pick up on Friday and we were finally packed up late Tuesday afternoon, delaying our cross country drive (and disrupting all our hotel reservations). The packer did not provide us with the inventory (he had not done it) as he departed saying that our items would be inventoried as they moved our things from the shuttle van to the actual van that would carry things cross country. He promised us a copy as soon as possible. When I didn’t receive it, I had to make multiple calls to get it. I was told initially it was lost, then I was sent illegible copies via email. When I asked for the contact information for their mediator I was told they did not have one- that they used their legal department. Again after many calls (informing them were required to provide this information), I was finally provided information for the company that provides arbitration for them (about 6 weeks from my initial request). During our calls I was told things that were later denied. I began to communicate only via email so I had a record of everything they said. I was often informed of how problems were my fault and that somehow I had an unfair advantage in the situation. When the packers finally arrived, they came unprepared, without sufficient packing materials. They asked us twice (despite us paying for them to pack) if we had any blankets that they could wrap our furniture with? Due to lack of paper wrap, they put dozens of framed pictures with glass overlays in a box with none of them wrapped, on top of each other, then set a heavy ceramic statue on top of them all (see photo). Not surprisingly, there was a lot of damage to our things. We had our things in storage before delivery and when we requested delivery we were informed there is a 3 week window to deliver things out of storage- that they do not have to deliver until 3 weeks after the date you request. This resulted in us having to pay duplicate rent for 21 days, not knowing what day within this window they would arrive (We had to pay for both places so we would have a place to stay in case delivery wasn’t until the end of the window, and to have a place to deliver our things to in case it was the beginning of the window). We insured fully. They will not pay for a damaged item despite our having photos documenting before and after condition, as we didn’t discover and document the damage while the delivery crew was there. Do not use this company. Once you sign the contract, the misery starts.By Paula V (a month ago)

- Reviews:I will start by saying customer service when setting up the move was amazing. We had high hopes for this move until our high-priced items were destroyed like our refrigerator that can no longer be used, our Traeger and Charbroil grills that were destroyed beyond repair and will have to be removed from our new property costing additional money, and the most disappointing of all is our patio furniture that is less than a year old that wasn’t wrapped and looks like it was thrown in the back of a van. Moving is expensive and emotional enough, but to have expensive and sentimental items ruined was not only heartbreaking but frustrating and will now cost us more money. I do not recommend this company by any means if you care about your personal belongings.By Erica Walker (a month ago)If I could leave a zero star review I would. Do not recommend. The customer service team neglected any responsibility for coordinating the movers or the damage to my items. My moving estimate was also doubled from the initial estimate I received to what I was actually charged on site. The original quote I received was approximately $2000, and was billed the day of the move for approximately $5000. Went over the phone. I was insured that the quote I received was worst case. I live in a one bedroom one bath apartment, where this steep of a moving charge is not justified. This is the most unprofessional moving company I’ve ever worked with, and experienced damages worth over $4000 throughout the moving process. The movers assigned to my job were very unprepared and inexperienced. The movers also did not show up with the proper materials, which required me to make multiple Home Depot and Lowe’s runs to grab items such as boxes, packing paper, and tape, which they should have been prepared to come supplied with. My items were carelessly thrown into boxes, without proper care, or packaging. The movers damaged the floors and walls in my apartment upon move out and move in. Multiple pieces of furniture were broken with legs snapped off my dresser, my piano stand broken, along with damages to my nightstand, kitchen table, and bent desk frame. Customer service required multiple phone calls and messages to even receive a call back. Highly recommend using a different moving company at all costs.By Amy Cook (4 months ago)The redeployment staff was efficient. I did it in 3-5 hours. Pretty fast. I got extra help assembling the broken bed. I definitely recommend. Very reasonable prices and excellent customer service.By Ronald Campbell (2 weeks ago)My husband and I were so happy we decided to use them. We originally booked someone else but after they failed to answer our calls for 2 weeks straight, we called Anthony back at AVL and he got us all set to use their team instead. The entire crew was helpful and even helped my husband move a couple items from the garage to the curb for garbage day after they were done.By David Johnson (a week ago)They were 100% on time, very friendly, responsible, Professional, and helpful. When I asked them to send someone to estimate the cost of the move, they sent a person ASAP, and also they gave me some good advice before packing up my stuff to make moving faster and easier.By Timothy Johnson (in the last week)

Thank you for reading! If you have any additional information about the best movers in Pompano Beach FL, please leave a comment below. We would love to hear from you!
Do NOT use this company! They lost parts to my brand new furniture. It took them 1.5 hours to make the same drive that took me 28 minutes. The guy said they stopped for gas & that I would get credited for that time. It took 20 minutes for them to figure out which elevator to take even though I made it clear to just use the main elevator. All of this cost me a lot of money! I asked them to close the patio door before they left & I gave them the key to lock the front door. They said they left the key under the mat. WTH??? The next day I went back, I found the key in the door & the patio doors open with the ac going. More money literally out the door. They left my king size foam mattress pad behind. When I called them right after they left to ask about it, they hung up on me. When they got to my new condo, they said I had to pay before they could unload. The guy said I had to pay for 2 hours to unload but it would take much less time than that & that I would see the adjusted amount when they were finished. It took them 45 minutes to unload. I never saw the adjusted amount!!! I even have proof of when they left because I called them looking for missing items. They used my tools & then left them scattered throughout the apartment. I called the office but they were very rude & not helpful at all! Do NOT waste your money on this company! They will treat you & your furniture very poorly!
The movers were fantastic we had so much stuff and the guys we had yesterday were fantastic they killed it moving furniture helping us with our sleep number and showing us some moving tape Hacks lol best crew ever and really respectful and kind. Derek and Cameron were awesome and the rest of the guys were phenomenal
Greg & Greg. They were absolutely wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone that’s in the process of moving. Even with the stresses of life going on and the stress of a move, they made my experience very smooth and even fun. They are hard working and listen to you and your needs and make you feel cared about. They know what they’re doing and do everything with excellence, even down to their being personable and caring towards the customer. I think they are the perfect go to for moving. This company is such a quality company and deserves the highest praise for their diligence and attentiveness to their job. Thanks again, guys.
Thank you to All My Sons moving for a very stress less day. The team was professional, and ensured all packing and wrapping were to the highest standard. Derek Butler and his team left me with the confidence that I made the right choice. Highly recommend!!

I highly recommend All My Sons for all your moving needs, I wish I new about them the last 2 times we moved. Everything showed up perfectly and placed exactly where we asked.
