  Simply AMAZING! Didn’t book a tour or even a shuttle as it seemed easier and more convenient to drive your own car in, especially if you just wanted to do a few hikes throughout the park. Arrived around 7:30a and the park was not crowded at all. There was no lines to get in and the main visitor center parking area was basically empty. The visitor center opened at 8a if you needed information or ask questions of the many rangers onsite. There were also maps and informative brochures which answered our questions.

  Decided to go on the Horseshoe Lake Trail as it was very close and was not strenuous at all. There is a decent descent down to the like but it was a nice paved path with great views of the mountains and lake. The lake was very reflective and allowed for great photographs. Along the trail there was a nice beaver dam at the lake. With many stops for pictures and along the river and lake, the total hike was still only about 1.5 hours. The ascent back to the street level may be a little tiring at the end, but it’s paved and plenty of room to pull over and rest.

  Absolutely beautiful park. Hoped to see more wildlife, but we did see a couple moose, caribou, and a lynx. It was hazy from all of the smoke so we did not see Denali, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

  We rode the green transit bus, and our driver was quite knowledgeable and told us many interesting facts about the park. The ride was enjoyable. I did like how he would stop the bus as soon as someone spotted something. Would not have gotten that experience on a tour bus.

  Best part of the trip was hiking the Savage River trail loop. Nice trail follows Savage River with mountains on both sides. It was awesome. Highly recommend.

  I visited in late May and sadly it’s too early to be able to drive far back into the park to hike at least a little closer to Denali. However, even hiking near the front entrance of the park is worth the time and has gorgeous views with the towering mountains all around you in the distance.

  It was really windy when we were there so make sure to have a good jacket if there in the spring.

  Great bus tour. Loved that we were on mo set time schedule. Guide was informative and didn’t care if we took the 5 hours of the tour as scheduled or if we wanted to stop at every tree along the way and spend the entire day. She was said she was there for our trip to be made “Our Trip”. We seen 4 of the big 5 animals but adding in some small animals really made up for not seeing a wolf. Would recommend to anyone going to Alaska and will do again if the get the rest of the rode opened up.

  Better than I thought! The weather on the day we visited was perfect, and we were able to see Mt. Denali. Make sure to check the weather before planning your visit, if it’s too cloudy you may not be able to see it.
  We took the shuttle bus around the park and also did a hike near Savage river which was very enjoyable. The shuttle bus had a lot more talking than expected, however the bus driver was very knowledgeable and knew a lot. We were able to see multiple caribou and even a bear. Some of the caribou were right outside of the bus which was amazing to see! Overall beautiful national park with lots of gorgeous scenery and wildlife, definitely worth it.

  Great excursion! The train cars appear to be brand new and well maintained. There is a stove in each car to heat it if necessary. There is also a bathroom and water. You can either view from your seat or go outside to the viewing platform. Due to covid border restrictions, the train is currently only doing round-trip journeys to the Canadian border in 2022. The views are amazing and you are given great historical information as you travel. The track is also very well maintained and you can see evidence of constant work and upgrades.

  We had a great time riding this train up through the mountain passes and enjoyed all the scenic vistas. The narrative was informative but sometimes difficult to hear over the click and clack of the track. The train loops at the summit so both sides get different views. Well worth it!

  First off our guide Tabitha was awesome! Lots of beautiful scenery 😍 The price is okay, but wish it was a little longer tour. Enjoyed the beautiful fall and the fresh tasting water we collected from the fall. Bring an extra empty bottle.

  The train ride was absolutely fantastic. The narrator, conductor, and crew were great fun and highly knowledgeable. Expert tip: sit on the left side going up, particularly if rain is forecasted for the day. It is usually clear on the ride up, but it isn’t unusual for the clouds to drop in shortly after the the train makes it turn. Photographers, take advantage of the open ends on the car.

  Glacier National Park is a beautiful place that is preserved by the local rangers and the governements that are involved on it. Just one cruise ship per trip can be at the location due to the amount of ice and movements of water, so, while one ship goes, the other one will have to be leaving in order to make of the traffic, as smooth and safe for the ships as possible. National Park just talks by itself.. admire nature’s beauty.

  When on board of a cruise ship, the “rangers” that are the people in charge of the area, will be giving you a natural explanation about the flora and fauna that surrounds the area, as well, will tell you about different details that people might now know and give you an idea of the the colors, age and the different questions that any human will or could have.

  Just a place to admire and look into. Enjoy the beauty of Alaska and help your inner space to found some peace.

  Stunning. Glacier Bay is cool and all. But the mountains and other glaciers nearby are stunning. I could not stop looking at the natural beauty. So happy I was able to see all of this. Worth the trip and worth the time.

  One word – stunning. If you have an opportunity to visit by boat – do it! We saw a lot of sealife and the blue ice is breath taking. The bluest water I’ve seen. Go after September 1st, as the seals are juveniles and the waterways open back up. It’s sad to see the effects of global warming, yet impactful to see in person.

  The cruise ship slowly enters into the glacier bay, and it’s a pleasure to enjoy the beautiful scenery not far from the ship. Thank God for the pure blue sky, there are not even a cloud for decoration, along the way I saw whales, posters, sea lions, and many birds. Facing the spectacular view of Margerie glaciers and Johns Hopkins glaciers, only sigh the power of nature and magical!

  One of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. We took an excursion from our cruise ship right up to the Glacier. If you have the chance to do this excursion I highly suggest it. It may be pricy but it’s an experience you’ll remember the rest of your life! To hear the Crack of the ice and to see it fall into the water is literally something you will never experience again, so take the opportunity if possible!!

  Beautiful State Park. There is none better in many people’s estimation. From sea level to the mountain tops, the views are spectacular. You can get lost in your thoughts here, and if you don’t watch out you might actually get lost for awhile.

  Do not count on being able to get a cell signal if you go into this wilderness, even less so the further East you go into the Park. Weather can change suddenly, and can be deadly. Prepare well.

  Lots of trails to hike. The paths were packed snow but had lots of frozen deep footprints which made them a bit hazardous if you didn’t watch your step.

  Nice hike up with the most amazing views of Eklutna Lake. Parking gets busy quick, so try to get there before 9:00 for a spot. And they do have a little rental place for bikes and I think I saw kayaks as well. The paths are well marked and easy to follow.
